Mackenzie is an offical Youth Speaker
It was quite the day at church today. We had two accomplishments. 1. Mackenzie gave her first talk as a youth speaker and 2.I was asked to give the closing prayer(so not me). These miracles were witnessed by our fabulous ward and my husband. He was so supportive and took the time before he had to be at work to support Mackenzie on her special day. Now, there are no pictures to capture this once in a life time opportunity but I assure all of you that if you were not present you will ever see this again(me giving a prayer or talk). I am terrified of speaking in public and the idea to pray of front of all those eyes was even more horrifying.I am so glad we close our eyes to pray. Mackenzie though, was fabulous. She made us laugh and talked as if she had done this before. We are so proud of her and she has grown so much it is unreal!!! It so amazing to see your children grow in the gospel. I never think that I have done enough but when they shine on their own, you get this sense of satisfaction. It is feeling that is unexplainable.

California or Bust!!!
Well I am finally going to post about our vacation. It was so exhausting, fabulous, and well worth any expense our bodies may have endured. We have never really been on a vacation because we have lived so close. The packing alone was intense, what to bring what not to bring??? The kids were able to visit with some special friends from the desert and also enjoy all their cousins. Days were spent swimming, laughing, eating, driving, and when we could relaxing (not to often). It took us about 3 days to finally feel like we could breathe after we returned home. Whoever said vacations were relaxing forgot about the aftermath when you are to tired to clean out the car, suitcases, and if you were gone long enough to have to replace all the food from the fridge. You need a vacation from your vacation sometimes. Well that is our trip in a nutshell. It was truly a blessing to be able to be with all of our family and friends. I could have stayed forever but realized that I had to go back to my real life of being a cheerleader to all my children's activities and trying to maintain a home that never rests. I am going to try to post some pics!!! Wish me luck!!!!!!!!

Hayden... The new LT?
Ok... it's Tuesday. Hayden had practice yesterday, he's got nothing going on today.... but he really wants to put his new practice gear on. "I just want to get used to the pads and all that" is what he keeps telling us. I think he'll be hanging out and playing the Wii in full pads and maybe helmet. I have to say, I love the sound of cleats sprinting around the house.

Dreams come true for one little boy!!!!
Well today was the day of our ultra sound. I decided that I would go alone. After the horror that we experienced with Reagan's ultra sound and the nice man turning to the kids and telling them that they were going to have a sister. The shock and the amount of tears that flowed (not joyful) from my children will forever stay in my mind. The poor tech looked at me and said "I will finish as fast as I can!" I said thank you and hoped that our drive home would be all right. So I went alone praying that they could just see that the baby was healthy but the prayers of a little boy were answered. Hayden for years has said that his brothers ditched him in heaven when he was coming and that he did not know how they would get here. He will only get one brother but it is Hayden's brother. Our little boy was very willing to show his manliness. So as our family grows for the last time we are all so blessed with this special news!!!!! IT"S A BOY!!!! Hope you all enjoy our exciting day!!! PS. This is a shot of the kid sitting on the camera
