There was so much that we did in such a short time that we were exhausted when we returned back to WASHINGTON. We love all of our family so much and there was no way I could post all the fabulous pictures that were taken. We miss you already!!!!

Mackenzie is loving her new school, friends, and living in SUNNY California. With lots of faith and trust in the LORD I know that WE as a family have the done the best for her. It is now up to her to follow her heart and make the BEST choices. She has already shown such growth it is amazing. I knew that she was an amazing GIRL, she just had to find out for herself.

Thank you to everyone that had posted such sweet words. I realize that I am not in this alone and that I have so many people that love me that I will NEVER be alone. You are all truly amazing friends that inspire me every day to be my best.

I could not have done this alone. I thank my very best friend, JIM. Without him I would have never have had any of these special spirits from my Heavenly Father. He sees in me what I don't,loves me for who I am and pushes me to be better. I am truly blessed. No matter what heart aches or blessing come my way, I can endure to the end. I can rejoice in what matters most---MY FAMILY!!!!

Our Lost Little Lamb

For many reasons that are unknown we chose to make choices that do not reflect who we are or who we want to be come. But rather we lose ourselves in the choices of others merely to fit in and be accepted. We think that we can be strong. We think of ourselves as that one person the can save those who have lost there way. We try with all our might to be strong, to remain strong in time of great conflicts and to be the one that never strays. Then out of nowhere we find ourselves slowly leaving all the decisions that we made not to stray slipping out of our hands. The power to fit in becomes greater than the COURAGE TO STAND STRONG.

The power of EVIL influences are so great that we are blinded by its obvious substandard to our true beliefs. There is no longer BLACK and WHITE to our choices. Everything now has shades of GRAY. There becomes no distinction between RIGHT and WRONG. There are no consequences to our actions. We are allowed to do what ever we want because the WORLD does not pose any TRUE consequences. Why would anyone want to chose all RIGHT choices if the world does not rejoice in this simple way of living?

We were sent here to this earth with our FREE AGENCY, but with that also came others with their own FREE AGENCY. How can we SAVE our children from a HURTFUL world that so strongly opposes truly being GOOD? How can I as a mother possibly save "my sheep" when the society in which we live is at war with all that I stand for? Where am I to turn when I have become the Shepard that lost one of HIS sheep?

Yes, I Janeal Proffitt lost one of "my sheep" and have not yet been able to come to terms with how I went wrong. Where did I FAIL with my parenting and how will this effect my other children?

I realized that I could no longer fight with my daughter. I had to make a very painful and prayful decision to let her leave my nest. Not forever but just for a period time so that she can find her strength and learn to FLY on her own. This is what is needed RIGHT NOW, RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT! She needs to feel the love I have for her without the TOXINS that plague our home. She needs to FIND HER WAY without having the influences that have strayed her from her TRUE path in life.

I am her mother but I am not that person to SAVE "my little lamb". She hates me for not letting her LIVE her LIFE the way she wants. How can a 14 year old child know what life they want to live?

The influences that were her FRIENDS had no direction,no purpose, no future and did not believe in GOD. They believed in what was RIGHT for that moment. It did not have to be RIGHT but if it made you HAPPY then it was RIGHT. I do not blame all of her choices on her friends because she has to be the one to make the final decision IN THE END.

We as women need to ban together to conquer the EVIL influences that surround our children on a daily bases. I have failed my child. I never saw the signs that she was straying. I tried to be the parent she deserved and wanted. I want to be the SHEPHERD that carries her back on my shoulders and celebrates with friends that she has returned home. This is my true desire. But it also has to be hers. That is the painful truth. We cannot carry someone back if they do not want to accept our invitation.

I pray that she will return a stronger person with a true conviction of who she is. That she will remember that she is A DAUGHTER OF GOD and to walk tall. Every decision has an impact on your life whether it be GOOD or BAD. Why make your life any harder than it already is? Make choices that REFINE YOU and not choices that DEFINE YOU.

I pray that she may find her way back home. I hope that this decision was not made in vain and she can feel the love that we all have for her.

LUKE 15:4-7
4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

This is my prayer to anyone who has lost their way, or has had a child lose their way. That I know without a shadow of a doubt that my child may be lost but she will be found. Never give up. Never lose sight of who they truly are in their hearts. The Lord has never given up on me because he knows my true potential. It is I that has given up on myself. It is the self doubt that sets in and I lose my focus. I will never leave my daughters side. No matter where her life may lead her. She was given to me to teach her everything I know. I want to help her through this life and into the eternities. Without hope there is no future and without a future there is no hope.

My heart breaks for sending her away. But I rather let her go now for a second chance then lose her later. Time will mend what is broken. She is my Daughter no matter what. I will never give up. I will fight for your return.

5k runners!!!

Jim has always been a runner,(something that I do not really like, I will walk forever but not run) but now he has Delaynie. They ran in a 5k on December 04 in Fairhaven. It was a beautiful wet day and pretty cold. But they dressed the part and ran their little hearts out.

Delaynie has been training with her Girls on the Run group from the YMCA. She really loved it and was so sad that this race signified that there group was coming to an end. They have been practicing and training since October.

Delaynie ended her run in 2nd place for her age group. Not to shabby being her first race. Jim was very impressed with her timing and the ability that she has to be a excellent long distance runner.

Delaynie now wants to continue running all the time and so does Jim. It is so nice that they have found something to do together. I love it!!

My Family

When Hayden was 2 he told me that Heavenly Father had a Brother waiting for him in Heaven. This was not just a passing remark. It was a constant conversation that we had on a regular bases. Hayden was born with a sweet spirit that I have felt is very close to Our Father in Heaven. Being his mom I never wanted him to doubt his feelings but I also did not want him to lose Faith and what if it never came true. How could I explain this to a little boy who felt so strongly.

Well when I had Delaynie his little heart sank and he continued to tell me that his brother was waiting in heaven and it was not just his time to come. This was now from a 5 year old. I really was not sure if I wanted more children. I struggled with postpartum, Jim starting a new career and are life was no where near adding another child.

We went through our struggles and finally we decided that we should add a 4th child to our family. I prayed for Hayden's brother. I wanted this to be the answer he was waiting for. I wanted this to be the beautiful ending to our family. This last pregnancy was to be it. I knew in my heart that I could do this one more time. I knew that I could add one more spirit to our family and that we would be complete.

This would not be hard. I has 3 helpers and my life seemed to be some what easy.
Well that is never the case in my life. Jim was called to serve on a special ops with the Border Patrol and was never home, I was so sick and 3 kids were not as easy as I thought. I continued to pray for strength to get through this LAST pregnancy to full fill my sons desire. Now I do not want you to think that I just got pregnant to see if his prayers were to be answered. We truly felt blessed that this was the right time to add another child to our family.

But with all things in life trials come when we least expect them. Jim was now called to go away for 10 weeks to train to become a K9 handler. I knew i could do this and that we would be okay.

While he was gone we had the opportunity to see what this beautiful baby was to be. I packed all the kids int he car, took a dear friend to help me and we were off to see this beautiful baby BOY. Before the tech showed us the picture I had this burning feeling in my heart that this was not the brother Hayden was waiting for. The tech showed us the picture of this beautiful baby and announced that we were going to have another sister. I was happy but then a burst of tears came from each child's eyes. There was this uncontrollable crying that I could not console because I was still getting pictures of our beautiful daughter that was to join our family.

I looked at Hayden and he said."Mom I am so sorry but I know that I have a brother, where is he?" I could not even answer his question. I had no answers for him. I thought I had prayed hard enough for us to add a brother to our family. But it really was not going to happen. I called Jim and cried. The kids could not even be excited. All I could think about was Reagan and how she must feel. We really did love her and I knew that she would be a blessing to our family and the best ending to our family.

Well, like I said, you can never plan what you really want. Heavenly Father always knows what is BEST. When Reagan entered the world I thought that I would have this overwhelmingly feeling of being done. She would be placed in my arms and are family would be complete. Everyone would love her and she would be the one to bring us joy. I would never need to be pregnant again. Well I was wrong. When she came and I held her I had this burning feeling in my heart that I will never forget that she was not our last. She was the one that needed to come to us at this time and that I would have another son.

This was a scary thought. I just had given birth and I was not thinking of doing this again. My heart was broken. I did not embrace this beautiful THOUGHT like I should have. Instead I made it a burden. I did not enjoy Reagan's birth like I should have. I became depressed and very unhappy. I hated the thought that I was not done. I fought the feelings that consumed my mind. I loved Reagan. She was a beautiful baby that was so easy and wonderful. Each one of the kids just loved her. She brought absolute joy to our family. But yet I was unhappy. I was not listening to the spirit. I was fighting it with every ounce of my being. How ungrateful. The Lord had given me 4 beautiful children and he wanted to bless me with more. But I was unwilling to hear His words.

After of 3 years of fighting with the Lord( I do not recommend), I realized that we needed a baby. But this time I was content with another GIRL if that was his WILL. I prayed for strength that I could over come these feelings of hopelessness and that I could do this. I needed Him more than ever. Was this pregnancy easy, NO!!! It was very difficult. But I knew that I could do this.

Well as you know already we were blessed with a BEAUTIFUL BABY BOY. He was the answer to my sons prayers and to our family. I was filled with PEACE when he was born. My heart exploded with so much gratitude that I will never be able to explain. I have to admit that I was happy that I was not going to have to do this again. I also felt guilty abut about Reagan's birth. Had I loved her enough? Had I given her all the love that she deserved? This has haunted me since she was born. I again became depressed. Why? I had a better marriage than I had had in 14 years, we had the brother that was waiting to come to our family and life seemed GREAT. But know I dealt with the guilt of how I felt after Reagan's birth.

I write this for myself so that I may remember all that I have overcome to get to where I am. I have realized that there is no greater GIFT than our children. We need to embrace each one that is given to us. Whether it be for a short time or our whole life. They come with many trials, heartaches, and joys but with HIS love and guidance we can make it. We can overcome all that is placed before us.

I have realized that everyone of my children are different. You can not parent each child the same. And what you go through with your own children is not the same for everyone. I have also come to realize that just because we teach our children RIGHT and WRONG it is ultimately up to them to decide. Just love them for who they are. They will come back, they will remember the truth, they will know who they are and where they came from.

I have been blessed with 5 beautiful children that were given to me at the RIGHT time and at the RIGHT moment in my life.

Today we celebrate Emmett's birthday with great joy and love!! He was waiting to come to our family and we have been blessed for it. Just like all my children. Blessings beyond measure.

If you already do not know are family is football fanatics. We love the NFL,especially the CHARGERS and are starting to get involved watching college. Boise State has become the team that sparks are interest. We are also looking for the best opportunity for Hayden. I know that I have told you this before but Hayden's dream is to become and NFL player. He has the talent and the heart to achieve this goal.

This year Hayden and Jim had the opportunity to be a father and son coaching/player team. It was amazing to see the dedication that these coaches gave our children. I have never been more proud to have witness the FAMILY that was created between these boys and coaches. Before each game they prayed and not one parent stood in the way or criticized this decision. It taught the boys to be strong, to stand up and be proud no matter the out come.

We started the season 0-3. This was so hard on the boys because the talent that existed did not represent are record. We tough coaching and changing up are game plan, we ended are season 4-4 and took third place overall. To accomplish this we took out a team ranked 1st while we were ranked 7th and beat them 6-0.

This was the BEST football year ever. We even had our 1st concussion(not fun and scary) but he is all right and still loves the game.

Well where has the time gone. I went back to work officially in May working full time. It has been a very stressful adventure. I will not lie. You never realize all the joys that fill your life until you are not there half the day. I really love working in the office I work in and all the knowledge that I have been taught. I have a CAREER not just a job but the sacrifices my family has made are many and I truly think about how short TIME really is.

I have a freshman in High School, a middle schooler, 4th grader, kinder, and my baby is turning 2. I truly feel blessed beyond measure. You may wonder how I can do everything--work, serve in church,5 kids and all the activities that go with our crazy life and the answer is THE LORD. I have never in all my life prayed harder, expressed my gratitude more and have felt the love of my SAVIOR more than I do now.

I truly believe with all of my heart that we have trials that shape who we are to BECOME. My trials will never be yours and your trials will never be mine. So what ever you may be going through just know that Savior has suffered all for us and he knows are SORROWS AND JOYS. He will never leave our side nor have us fail. It is our own insecurities that makes us FAIL, but with savior ALL is possible. WE CAN DO IT!!

These times bring many challenges that I thought I would never face. It makes me really search to know what I believe and what I want my children to believe. It makes me know that I belong to a fabulous church that builds up strong family values and it is the true church. This is what I want for my children and generations to come. If I have to sacrifice everything for one "lost" sheep than I will. I will never give up. I will not the my doubts or what the world presents to my children WIN. I am a fighter and I will WIN.

I love all of you and are grateful to all of my friends and family that have been there, listened, sacrificed and just loved ME for who I am.

Today is a very special day, it was the day that Reagan came to this world(almost in the car)but Jim would not let that happen. She is the sweetest little girl that just loves life with all its beauty. She loves to celebrate every occasion, a girl after my own heart.

When Mackenzie turned 5 I was so happy that she would start kindergarten. She was now going to experience life and learn all she needed to know. I have become wiser and it saddens me that that I must send her out to the WOLVES. IF i had the patience and time I would just keep her home. I know she must grow up but with every child that leaves the nest my heart aches. Even though I want those days of PEACE and Quiet I truly love the chaos. It tells me that they are still here and that they need me.

Hayden has waited for this moment for the past 6 years that he has played baseball. To STEAL HOME is the ultimate dream for my son.
He wanted to be the first person on his team to succeed but did not get under the catcher in time. There will be plenty more games for this burning desire to get a run on a steal accomplished. He will have his day.

We are already 2-0 and the season has just begun.

Vancouver Temple Trip

It was a beautiful sunny day on Thursday. I let the kids miss school so that we could visit the new Temple in Vancouver. The Temple will be dedicated on May 02, 2010. It was so beautiful. You just need days to be with your family and share in the joy that our Heavenly Father has given us. The temple being the most precious gift here on earth.

Mackenzie(with all the youth from are stake and the Vancouver area) will be performing On May 01 for the Prophet in the Temple Youth Celebration. She was also chosen to be in the Multi-Cultural Finale and will be a Native American Indian.

She will also be able to participate in a fireside where President Monson will speak to all the youth. This will be a once in a lifetime experience for her. I am so glad that she has made choices that allows her to be there for this wonderful experience.

Every year the dance studio(Dancing for Joy)

where the girls dance put on a dance performance of the NATIVITY. It is always so beautiful and really brings Christmas full circle. I hope that they want to do it again. It is a lot of work and time spent in rehearsals.

Our friends the Wilson's were so gracious and invited us to their home for THANKSGIVING.

It was so much fun. All the food was delightful and the company was fabulous!

EMMETT IS "1"

Just like the day Emmett arrived snow began falling. We could now reminisce about that glorious day he came into the world and it was only 9 degrees!

Due to the freshly fallen snow it caused some problems for the roads. Our hill to our house is not ideal to drive on and I did not want our friends to have to walk in the snow to our house. So with great sadness I cancelled the party.

But the kids were great. They decorated the house so cute and helped prepare everything even though it was just for us.

Emmett did not know that his party was cancelled and so we went on like nothing had changed.

He enjoyed Lasagna for dinner and a snowman cupcake for dessert!!

What can I say! It was a very hectic day. We were late, I was stressed, and everyone was grumpy. After we finally arrived and everyone was were they needed to be,the spirit in the room was so over whelming.
The stress was gone, grumpiness left the building and Delaynie could have her moment.

I am so grateful that I have a husband that honors his priesthood. That he has been able to baptize 3 out of our 5 kids. He inspires Hayden to make good choices so that he can be able to baptize his brother in 7 years. What a great goal to have. I am so honored to be married to a man that was raised by such great people(Jim and Ginger) that I have a hard time calling them my in laws. I truly think of them as my parents. I have been blessed also with a great mom and dad that helped me find a man worthy to fulfill all of these special blessing.

Mackenzie and Hayden gave the talks on Baptism and the Holy Ghost, Grammy and Papa gave the opening and closing prayer, my friend Jenna conducted the music while my friend Stephanie played the piano. I asked Stephanie to do a musical number (not fully knowing of her great talents)and she brought tears to my eyes, THANK YOU!!

It was a special day for a special girl!! We love her so much!!

Today is Delaynie's birthday and she is now 8!!!

I am so excited that she is part of our family. She has such a beautiful girl and she lights up any room she enters. Everyone loves Delaynie.

I am so glad that she came to me and I was given the chance to be her mom. I hope that I am doing all that I can. I hope that I have provided a way for to be a strong women in these trying times.

I love that our family is sealed together for time and all eternity. This makes this journey so sweet even when it seems impossible.

It is amazing to be able to see your kid grow in the sport they love.

We have met so many wonderful families playing football and Hayden has made some amazing friends. I am so sad that the season ends on October 31st and that we will not be able to play until Fall 2010. I wish it could go on forever.

I bought letters and frame at Micheal's. I covered the letters with scrap booking paper, added some ribbons, flowers, and a little charm and it was complete. The frame was just as simple. I painted it white and Shabby Chic the edges and added the word FAMILY. I went to Costco and developed a family photo, copied the Proclamation of the Family on to vellum placed over the photo and DONE. Just some easy ans simple crafts to do at home. It would be more cost effective to do with friends because you buy ribbon and all the decorations in large quantities. Great way to have a GIRLS NIGHT!!

THE COACH AND HIS SON

It was a great day for our family. I had the opportunity to watch my boys play a sport that they both eat, sleep, and breathe---FOOTBALL. Jim never gives himself enough credit for his ability to motivate these boys. He knows how to bring those boys together and get them amped up for the game. He is a great coach and leader to these boys!!

Jim was asked to be the offensive coach for the day because the other coach was going to be out of town. I was so nervous because he was the man with the plays. He was so awesome. He was able to get those boys down the field and score a touchdown in the first 3:00 minutes of the game.

They (the whole team) were just outstanding. There are no words to describe their ability to play as a team and the power they had together was awesome. Hayden plays both OFF/DEF. He is an animal when it comes to his blocking and running. He was about to make an 70 yard touch down but step out of bounds at the 5 yard line but he was able to make a come back when he recieved the kick and ran it down the field without anyone touching him. His tackles were incredible. Whatever you ask Hayden to do he does. He leaves it all on the field.

My boys loves the game what more can I say! They won their game 28-7. What a way to start the season. It was worth getting up at 5:45 am to be ready to leave at 6:30. We had to be there at 7:15 for warm ups and the game started at 8:00. What a SATURDAY MORNING!!

IT IS NOT JUST ABOUT THE SUMMERS OFF...YOU HAVE TO ACTUALLY TEACH!

Why does the school send home an info packet asking your child's strengths and weaknesses to help place them in a class for next year if they are not going to take it into consideration!!!!!

Before we moved to Washington I research all the schools in the area to find schools that were compariable to the schools in California. My eyes were opened when we started> Test scores do not tell you anything about the curriculum. My kids were a year ahead than what was being taught. I figured that this was an easy fix and that the teachers would be so excited that my children had already learned these things.

I was so wrong!!! Hayden's 3rd grade teacher told me, "That I was no longer in California and I was going to have to learn the "Washington Way".

Obviously he did not care to help my child excel. I had several meetings with this teacher that were never positive. They were always about how disruptive my son was( he was bored) and that he was not doing well in their reading program. This was hard for me in understand because he was at grade level or higher in his class in California. I tried finding solutions but with no positive reinforcement. I went to every conference he wanted with the same negativity towards my son. Finally after my 5th conference in 2 months I looked at him and told him that if he had nothing to tell me that was positive or that an improvement had not been made then we were done. I was not going to have any more conferences with him and that I did not want to speak with him any more. All references about or towards my son would now need to be with the principal. He never called me in again. There never seemed to be any more issues.

My disdain for this teacher still exists and now my poor Delaynie has him!! I went immediately to the principal and asked for her removal from the class. I explained my reasons and my concerns. If anyone knows me I love being in the classroom and going on field trips. It is very important to me to be involved and know what is going on in the school. My meeting was useless. The principal at our school is useless. He said he would look into it and get back to me this afternoon with his decision. The answer---AT THIS TIME WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MOVE HER OUT OF THE CLASS BUT WILL EVALUATE THIS MATTER AT A LATER DATE.

This was not the answer I was looking for. I even stated on my request form that she was not to have a male teacher. This should have been an easy fix. There are two females teachers and him. How hard is it to give one of the other teachers to us!!!! I did not even take her to the Meet and Greet this afternoon. I refused to even step a foot into his class. I think I have a legitimate reason for not wanting her in there. I believe as a parent we know our child and ourselves best to have better judgement than the principal(yes our principal chooses the classrooms for all the children without the input of the teachers, how does he know each child...HE DOES NOT).

Now the dilemma. Do I keep her home and home school her for the year and return her to 4th grade next year? Do I go to another school and hope that it is better? I do not even want her to go on the first day. I just want to keep her home. It has nothing to do with the kids in class. She has lots of friends which makes it even harder. It has everything to do with this teacher. He should be retired. I am not the only mom upset. There was another mom in tears that her child was in that class. Why do schools keep teachers like this??? I do not understand.

Our education system is a wreck. We need principals that are leaders and find teachers that can captivate children with learning. We need people that want to teach and want to motivate our youth to be strong,positive role models. How can this happen when you have a teacher that does not want to help students excel or help students who struggle. Teachers want robots that are all just the same. This way they do not have to work. There job becomes easy with no pressure. This is not to say that there are not GREAT teachers out there. I know many excellent teachers that love what they do. I applaud those individuals!!!

I just want what is best for my little Delaynie. This teacher is not what she needs. She needs a teacher that has a love for teaching, wants to see the positive in everyone and wants to see growth with their students. How hard is it to make this happen for my child. Harder than I thougth.

Football season officially begins today! Hayden is excited and has been wearing his mouth guard all morning. He even gets to practice today in the rain which is even more exciting because now he will be MUDDY (like a real football game).

Our little "LT" is preparing for his future. He has already decided that he will play for

BYU-PROVO right after High School, go on a mission, return, finish college and be drafted to the San Diego Chargers. Big dreams that I told him will come true if you aspire and work real hard.

He wants this so he is determined to make it work.

When the Relatives Came!!

My sistes Leslie, my niece leyla and my mom and dad came all the way from California to visit us this week. When my parents came the first time it was for Emmett's birth and we had the worse snow storm in 20 years. We were snowed in and could not go really anywhere. Now we could not cool off fast enough. They have experienced two weather extremes in Washington, Hot and Cold.

They have now left and we have tears in our eyes. Reagan wants to move away. She wants to live by all her Grammy's and Papa's.

The memories will last forever. We had such a fabulous time.

The weather was perfect for swimming at the Lake and enjoying the sun!!

This disease effects so many people and this story that was told on SYTYCD was so powerful. My grandmother is a Breast Cancer Survivor and the strength she had to fight this terrible disease was amazing.

Our work is not done nor our fight.

Jim and Bullet were in the Ski to Sea Parade. The Ski to Sea held annually for both kids and adults and people of all ages. Everyone competes in a leg of the race that starts with down hill skiing and ends in the water with kayaking (I am hoping I posted that correctly). Jim was able to be part of the parade with Bullet. As you can see they are in the Border Patrol Boat.

This was so fun for the whole family!!!

Reagan has many talents and jumping through Hula hoops is one. She performed this magnificent trick for the Primary Talent show. She was simply amazing.

Delaynie wanted to demostrate her superb abilities with the jump rope.

I do not feel that the camara captured the true performance.

She is able to jump while adding twists with the rope, jump on one foot backwards, and other amazing things.

It was a great weekend filled with dancing and moving! We move to our new home while shuffling a dance recital with all the girls. They were all so beautiful.

Mackenzie performed a hip hop routine, Delaynie was in musucal theater and performed It's a Hard Knock Life and The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow from Annie and Reagan performed for the first time on stage You got a friend in Me. I wish I could post a video of each of there performances but you are not allowed to take pics or videos during the show. I will try to give it justice with the pictures I took at rehearsal.

Hayden had a fabulous baseball season the led the season with 9-1. The went to the tournamnet and won every game. They only allowed 14 runs against all 6 teams they played. The winning game was so intense. We were ahead, then we were down and then some how the boys had a second wind a came out slamin. '

Are family just loves sports and we (maybe just me) are so competive. The games are a blast and the sports family we have created with this fabulous baseball team is unreal. It is truly a winning team even if we had not done so spectacular!!!

Okay Reagan turned 4 on May 31st and I am just now going to post about it!

It was a great day. The weather was fabulous and no one had reserved the park where I wanted to set up. Reagan wanted everything PINK . We had pink ballons,pink sack lunches, pink flowers, pink gum and a beautiful pink cupcake cake. .

I really can not believe she is 4. She is just so funny and cute all the time. Where does the time go?

Is he not the cutest thing ever!!! He now can sit up and play with his toys. He is growing way to fast. We were finally able to get him into the doctors for his 4 month check up and he is 50% for his weight(14lbs 12oz) and 75% for his height(26 inches.

I do not know if this is my child. My children are usually off the charts in the negative way. Never on the charts for actually growing.

Maybe Hayden is right. He will be the future running back for the Chargers and Emmett will be the linebacker. My future is set.

The sun has begun to shine here in the Northwest. This is very exciting because we can know enjoy the great parks that are all around us.

Tuesday was a beautiful day filled with laughter, climbing, swinging and a great break with a snack.

We went had a great PARK DAY with our friends and after we were done realized we had been there for 2 hours.

Emmett was able to swing for the first time and loved it.

He is so cute!!!

Delaynie is normally in school but she woke up to be having a Girl moment. So not to ruin my whole day I let her have a day off. This paid off in my favor.

On Your Mark, Get Set, GO!!!

This was our first year entering the Pine Wood Derby (Due to baseball conflicts we have never been but this year we did not have a game, yeah!!). Did not know how intense it could be and the competition between the kids is a riot. This was not in a bad way but funny. The cars that were made were fabulous. In the end it came down to two brothers for the ultimate winner. The younger brother won but the older brother was a great sport and gave his brother a hug.

We made our car not to exceed the 5oz. weight limit, kept it within the STRICT guidelines, and put some flashy paint with decals and called it a day. Did not know that you must have the car weigh exactly 5oz. in order for the car to go fast. The heavier the car the better. This is for all you beginners like me who would have never known. We have some great ideas for next year so WATCH OUT!!!

All and all Hayden had a blast. Loved every minute and wants to do it again. We were not the fastest car or the slowest but came in third place a couple of times.

Here's to scouting and the wonderful program that is set up for the boys.

He is getting so big. He eats cereal, grabs his feet and puts them in his mouth, loves to stand, pulls himself up in his swing, and his beginning to move.

This is the funniest thing. He puts his buns in the air and lunges forward. Go figure.

I hate science projects. I find them to be a waste of my time. I wish that teachers would work on these projects during class and create a science learning environment there. I feel that the parents are really the ones that do the project and the kids sit back and just watch. I do have to give Hayden credit for picking a fun project with Frisbee's. we spent the day throwing frisbee's to see if it mattered how you threw it achieve distance. We found out that yoy must throw with a straight arm to achieve the greatest distance.

Our Fabulous Spring Break!!!

We have fabulous friends here in the Northwest. We have met so many fabulous families that it would take to many entries to thank all of our friends for there great love for our family(You all know who you are!!!) The Wilson's (one of our dearest friends) just bought a boat(I am afraid of Boats) and wanted us to join them in Roche Harbor for a few days. I was terrified. They took their whole family on the boat from Bellingham Bay and we met them a few days later.

We had to take a ferry from Anacortes to Friday Harbor. The drive is an hour and the ferry is an hour. I did just fine on the ferry and the kids just loved it. It never felt like we were on the ferry for an hour it went so quick.

The weather could have not been any better, Sunny, Sunny, Sunny!!! That is a lot to ask for here in the spring.

We also had our friends the Donavans and Hammonds meet us there a day later for a fun boat trip. This is were my boat paranoia set in. We took out the BIG boat to go explore Jones Island. I was so scared but managed to hold it together and really enjoyed the whole experience. Between us, we have 14 kids and we gave them radios and let them loose on the island. It is not very big and we knew that they would not get lost. They collected starfish, rocks and other sea creatures. The sun was out and the water was so inviting that they all get a little wet. We just had the best time. On the way back to the harbor we encountered a Sea Lion eating an octopus. It was so fascinating.

Our little cottage we stayed was just what we needed. It was 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen(bigger than mine at home) and 1 bath room. It had a queen bed, 2 full beds, and a sleeper sofa. It fit us all just right. The nights were just gorgeous and being there with great friends was just delightful.

We had a fabulous night of Princesses.With my two friends, Lyhea and Marcela we took 8 girls to see a musical production of Cinderella. It was so fun. They all dressed up in beautiful dresses and they looked spectacular. Reagan and her friend Baily had to be dressed in authentic princess attire. We enjoyed a delightful dinner at Johnnie Carino's and the servers were so impressed with girls. It was a beautiful night with a fabulous ending. Dreams do come true!!!

I am very impressed with myself. I was so bored with my blog and Emmett would not sleep today,so I decided that I was going to give my blog a face lift. I worked very hard and figure it out by myself(with a little consulting with Jenna) I did it!!!

Bue and Gold Dinner

This year I volunteered with my friend Leah to coordinate the Blue and Gold Dinner for scouts. It was a blast because I love parties. I love to come up with creative ideas with food, decorations and everything in between. This year was extra special, I forgot that I would have a newborn at my side by the time the dinner came but everything went fabulous. The theme was AMERICA. So easy!! We had fun with everything RED, WHITE and BLUE(thank you to my other friend Lyhea who throws a fab Fourth of July party every year and had all the the decor!!)

Now this all took place in February. I know I am late to post this but I was waiting for Jim to download the pics from his camera. We left in the morning to decorate the church with sleet falling from the sky. None of us thought very much about it because it sleets all the time and never becomes much more. We had the church extra fabulous went home and finish up the preparations for the food and snow began to fall heavy. It was not sticking to the ground so I breathe a sigh of relief. We were also having a BAR-B-QUE which in the Northwest we never let a little weather ruin a great party. We had a pop up canopy outside to protect the cooks from the rain, sleet or whatever may fall from the sky. I finished getting everyone ready packed the car with the family and headed to the church. This is at 4:30 and there was no snow falling at this point. Dinner was to start at 6:30. I thought we will be just fine. NO, we were not. Within a 30 minute period snow had started to fall and stick to the ground and left 3 inches. We had already begun cooking burgers before the snow started falling and we were ready for everyone to come.

Thank goodness Mackenzie had her phone because she was texted that they had canceled YW/YM due to the roads. This sent up a red flag that they were going to cancel the Dinner. I started to cry because we had already begun cooking and what were going to do with all the food?? Eat it of course and do the dinner tomorrow!!! It was a great success even a day later.

I wanted to share my centerpieces with you. I have seen the cookie baskets and thought that I could create something similar. I wanted a treat for all the kids to take home and came up with this idea. I made star cookies on sticks(baked them with sprinkles because I did not want to frost 96 cookies). I put them in clay pots with ribbon and raffia. I also found star garland to wrap around. I used Styrofoam balls to hold the cookies in the pots. Very fun to do and easy!!! You can be creative and create whatever type of centerpiece for any occasion.

Reagan and Delaynie love art. Anything they can get there hands on to create masterpieces they do. We were at target (yes I am one of Those moms) and they were just whining about everything. I needed a treat that would keep there attention for the remainder of our shopping experience. I let them pick a project to work on at home and this is the result. Just beautiful!!!

My little baby is 3 months old!! This is no fair. He has grown so much and does not acted like a 3 month old. So I am going to be the mom that lists his accomplishments for all my family who does not get to see him all the time.

Reagan loves to play Dress Up. Everyday she gets into the box and puts on every princess dress that we have. Sunday was a special day she wanted to be a Ninja. She was very excited and went to find the Mulan costume. She needed a little help with the costume and I turned to her and said,"Can I help you so your boobies don't show?"

She looks at me with a great big smile and says, "Mom, ninjas don't have boobies they have skills!" With great enthusiasm she ran off to fight warriors. She has skills!! I just love this girl!!!

Emmett is finally well. His cough may linger for a couple weeks though.
He was diagnosed with RSV. This is a very crazy virus and i believe we have an epidemic here in Washington. Thank goodness he never had to go to the hospital. I just had to take him to see the doctor for three days in a row to check his oxygen levels. He kept getting better and that was great. He does not need his nose suctioned as of today and that makes me happy. Having to put saline in his nose was awful.

Reagan's Story

Reagan loves to write notes to everyone. She does not really write them. She finds papers that have already been written on. She expresses her feelings by finding the person and telling them what she wants them to hear.

Today she was expressing her feelings towards Santa and this is how it went.

Well I am finally going to post about our wonderful Christmas. We had the best gift ever delivered before Christmas. On December 14th Emmett Brantley was born. He came during one of coldest winters. We also had my parents fly in from California and brave all the snow. The kids really enjoyed them being here and so did Jim and I. This was a Christmas to remember.

We had so much fun climbing up and down the hill to get into the car(which was never brought back up to the house for 14 days). I braved the weather with Emmett and went with the whole family to see Delaynie perform in her Christmas Dance Recital. It started out as a cold windy day but after the recital snow was falling hard. Jim was the best husband ever. He hiked the hill got his work truck and piled us 2 at a time up to the house. We would have never been able to walk in the snow with out freezing to death.

The recital was so beautiful. They told the story of the Birth of Christ through dance. It was just amazing. The music was beautiful and really captured the spirit. I will just give a little plug for the dance studio that my girls go to Dancing For Joy, it is a fabulous studio that has the right heart for dance. If you lived here in Belligham I would highly recommend sending your child. Just love It!!!!

We had a beautiful White Christmas and that was special to my mom and maybe my dad. She had never seen so much snow fall before. We had a great Christmas dinner. Jim made the best turkey. Niether one of us have ever had to cook a turkey before because we have always gone to our parents house for the holidays so this was a treat. We opened presents and played games all day. It was a relaxing Chirstmas with so much to be grateful for.

Building an Ark

We have just had about a 3 week Christmas vacation due to the snow that fell here in Washington and now we are experiencing rains that have created rivers to flood are areas. We are going on our second day of no school due to flooding. What is a mother to do!!!!

I feel that I am a terrible mom because I cried this morning when they announced no school. My children are usually really good but they are at the point of needing school to break up there day. You can only entertain them so long with crafts, playdough, baking, games and movies with popcorn.

We will now have to extend our school year into the the middle of June to make up all the lost days. Our summer will be short and quick. I am glad that I have not planned a vacation this year. With the weather being so unpredictable we may be going into July for School.

We had a blast today. Kept the kids home from school because it was snowing too much. Glad we did. One of our friends got stuck trying to get their out of school early. Instead of school, we had fun building snowmen, sledding down our hill, and getting into snowball fights. We played with our neighbors and had one of the best snow days possible. Janeal and Emmett (correction made... Jim messed up. Was thinking football) were able to stay inside and relax a little.

And to top it all off, it's still snowing. We will never be able to get our van in our driveway.

On the 10th Day of Christmas My True Love Gave To Me...

On this day, December 14, 2008 at 3:40 pm, through snow, ice, and freezing temperatures, our son was born.

Strong genes!!

Well life has been very busy. We have been trying to pull everything together for a new baby and Christmas. Not the easiest task sometimes.

So to makes life a little more complicated our little baby boy decided that he was not going to stay head down and turned into a transverse position. Which I found out on Monday with only 17 days to go. Winni (my midwife)was not to concerned she said I needed a ultra sound to find out the specifics of his position. This was a little alarming to me because all I thought was c-section and no way!!!

She said that we would just have to turn him before I went into labor and would require a doctors supervision. I was so upset. This had never happened before with anyone other baby, why now and this late in the game. I could not sleep Monday night and worried all day about the ultra sound. I was prepared for the worse but I told Jim that this baby will live inside me forever if it does not drop to the proper position. He laughed at me.

The great news is that he turned during the night or in the morning and there will not need to be any other percautions taken. The best part of this story is that the 3D ultra sound machine was available when I went. The tech was so excited to do the ultra sound that I was there for about an hour. She loved taking photos and and watching his every move. It was amazing. After she was done taking the necessary measurements she pulled up the picture of the baby. It was a perfect match to.....Drum roll please Hayden.

I have posted a picture of Hayden after he was born and the picture of the ultra sound. It truely is amazing how similar his features are. I started to cry. It was a pretty special moment in the midst of chaos.

Twilight

It was a fabulous day with all the girls. We got in line at 12:15 to get great seats for the 1:00pm show. We were in line with about 50 teenie boppers but it was still fun. I was plowed over while trying to walk down the stairs to find a seat. Lucky for us they thought the front row was best.
Mackenzie was very excited to go but in the end she felt a little disappointed. I believe this is because she is such a book reader that if the story does not reflected the book then it was not good enough.

She is right. They changed the order that events took place and changed how events happened. Which I thought was goofy because Stephanie Meyer had a lot of detail in her book which should have made it easy for a writer. Over all I thought it was a good movie. Would I see it twice, No. Will I buy it for Mackenzie, Yes. Do I recommend seeing it, Yes. But be aware that if you read the book to close to seeing the movie like I did it is nothing like the book.

The characters are perfect except for ESME. I did not like the actress in Grey's Anatomy and so it bugged that she was playing that role. The beginning is slow but once it picks up it is great. I loved the ending even though it was different from the book. I had not read the second book yet but the ending preludes to the next movie. So hopefully they will realize the following of this series and get a bigger budget.

So, if you are a die hard fan then you probably have all ready seen it and if you are not,then go with your daughters or friends and have a great girls night out!!!!

About 20 girls and their daughters are all going to the movies on November 22 to view this fabulous movie. I started reading the book on the subtle hints from Mackenzie. Delaynie has her moments that test even the best of us. She also has a heart of gold. Her passion to help others is astounding. She loves that people need her.

Delaynie has become an expert on the fine arts of biking riding. She decided that Reagan needed a lesson on how to ride a tricycle. As you can see by the pics she made sure that all safety percautions were taken into consideration.

These are those moments of truth that really make you realize that the jounery is good. Life's little lessons are about these moments when there is no fighting,

no yelling for mom, and the your family is just at peace.

Thank you to my mom for raising me to want to be a mom so that I could experience the joys as well as the pains. Because nothing comes without trials. We must endure all so that we know the sacrifices that were made for each of us. Enjoy your day with your family. Search for the good even when it does not appear there. Find little things that make you smile so when big troubles arise you can breathe.

just turned out that the movie came out the same time as her birthday. I took 4 of her friends, moms who wanted to go and Reagan to see the movie. We had to listen to the CD in the car all the way to the movies and back. So, yes, I have the soundtrack memorized. It was a great movie to see and to know that Disney kept the movie G even though they had moved to the BIG SCREEN. It was probably the best of the 3.

Great friends

My ward has been so fabulous from the beginning. Now I know that I am having my fifth baby and that a shower to celebrate is not really necessary but my friends Jennifer, Lyhea, and Becky put together a spectacular evening. We met at the Olive Garden and just sat for 4 hours laughing, eating and enjoying a great GIRLS NIGHT OUT!!! It also turned out that Olive Garden over booked the room that was set aside for us because we ladies made out. They accomadated us with complimantary water, meals and a waitress that was just catering to us.

So sometimes bad news is good news.

Becky of course made a great cake for dessert and everyone enjoyed it. Also the gifts were so thoughtful. It is always nice to have nice things to welcome a new baby to your family. Hayden wanted to sleep with the new blankets to warm them up for his new brother. I had to tell him that would not be necessary and that they would be just perfect for when he comes. Reagan had to wear the new rain boots around the house that were 3 sizes to small for her feet but insisted that they fit. Mackenzie and Delaynie did not have the same passion to wear the clothes or sleep with the blankets. So 2 out 4 children taking over the new stuff is not to bad.

So I am so grateful for friends and the joy it is to celebrate MOTHERHOOD!!!

Today is a wonderful day. It was the day Delaynie Abigial was born. She came into this world with her Mama and Papa by her moms side.

Jim was in Georgia for the Border Patrol Academy. It was funny calling Jim at 7:45pm and telling him I was at the hospital. I told him I would call him when the baby was born and that everthing was going well. Of course he is 3 hours ahead of us on time and had to get up early for more schooling the next day. I called him back at 8:30 pm to tell him that she was born but he did not answer. I had to call him 3 times. He was a real trooper being away from us at this time. He was fortunate to come home and visit us when she was a week old. He then returned to the academy until January.

Delaynie is such a sweet girl. She loves to help everyone, is very fashionable, and also loves dancing. She is very into her musical theater class and wants to take up ballet. She has the build for a ballarina. I think that we will start ballet in November. She is a spunky little girl with a lot of fire. She can make you laugh and want to pull your hair out all in one day.

This is are little ROO ROO in a nutshell. We love her so much. I do not know what we would do without her spirit and enthusiam for life. Happy 7th Birthday Delaynie!!!!

Pumpkin Carving

Last night we decided that we better carve our pumpkins. I also realized that carving four pumpkins would be insane. So we opted to carve only one and let everyone join in to help. Much easier than the chaos that would have been created with four children trying to carve. We let Delaynie and Reagan choose the cut out for the pumpkin and the result: THE BOO BROTHERS. If anyone else bought the same Halloween pattern guide you probably have one too.

The best part of carving pumpkins is the look Hayden had about getting out the seeds. The girls were more than happy to empty the pumpkin but Hayden was about to Yack. At least this is what he wanted us to believe.

The Stoney Ridge Experience

Without a doubt this is always my plot in life. We plan family activities and some how Jim's job (I know it is our income and I should be grateful) gets in the way. Of all the days when I needed him the most (most of the time I am strong I am women here me roar) he gets called into some special operation. So as we are all getting ready I am dreading going to the pumpkin patch because my biggest fear was had. Even though our great friends the Miller's were meeting us there and he was kind to push the wheel barrow back to the scales, I still had to get it to the car. I know what you are thinking, Why did I let all four of my children pick out there own pumpkin??? Why did I let them choose bigger pumpkins than they could carry themselves??? The answer is because I just do not know how to say No!! So after paying for over 130 pounds of pumpkins my children wanted to stay longer and play at the playground, eat homemade apple cider donuts, pet the animals and just enjoy the day. So we carried on. We played, we ate yummy donuts and petted the animals. It is so fabulous that I have a great daughter that can take kids around while I am waiting in line for food or paying for the pumpkins. This is also why I do not have as many great pictures as I hoped for. Well, we all survived the pumpkin patch. I was able to make it to the car with all the pumpkins,we were filled with warm yummy apple cider donuts and we now have the task of carving these beauties!!! It is great that Jim is home tomorrow because this is going to to be his job after dinner. If he gets called into to work I am just handing out markers and paint.

Field trip to Stoney Ridge Farms

I had never been to Stoney Ridge Farms before and we were so excited to find a great place like Bates Nut Farm. I felt spoiled to be able to go to Bates with the kids every year and last year we did not buy pumpkins. A tradition that I do not want to give up. I really liked the pumpkin patch so we are going back on Saturday to get huge pumpkins to carve. We will also be able to enjoy the corn maze, wagon rides, and delicious apple pie(Delaynie, Reagan and I have already had a taste of these great treats). I hope the kids will be as excited as I am to go back because I love fall and the many colors it produces. I also hope the weather will cooperate and we can go without rain. That would be the only negative side to going. I do not know if I want to trace through the fields of mud for a pumpkin.

Our Beautiful Dancer!!!

Reagan wanted so badly to be a dancer just like Mackenzie and Delaynie that I finally gave in. I was trying so hard to just do activities with the older kids after school and keep Reagan occupied with going to playgroups, library, grocery shopping and playing at home. But this only went so far with Reagan. She said, "Why do I not get to be a beautiful ballerina mommy?" So it just melted my heart that she felt so strongly about being a dancer that I was able to find a dance class 5 minutes from our house. It is at the perfect time 12:30-1:30 on Mondays. Now Reagan can fulfill her dream and we are all happy!!!

Well I am going to try to do this.

1. My first random fact is that I married the man of my dreams. The first day I spoke to him I went home and told my mother that I met the man I was going to marry. Well she thought you are nuts but 2 years of dating we were married and the rest is history.

2. I will go back to school one day and complete a degree in Interior Design. I could design and create all day long. I always have a project that needs finishing or something that I have thought up that needs implementing. This drives Jim insane. My house will always be my canvas.

3. I always wanted to be a cheerleader in High School. But it was never in the cards. This is not a bad thing. I do not know if being a RAH RAH girl would have fit my shyness that I had in high school. I wanted to be popular but never had the self esteem to master it. Popularity is not always a sign of success.

4. I am not one to seek adventure. So I guess I am a little boring. I would rather know what is going to happen before so that I am prepared. I am a planner. This is sometimes good and sometimes bad.

5. I love to cook. I love to come up with great foods for others to enjoy. This is were I love to help others plan parties. I could plan parties all day and make their party dreams come true. I love making invitations, creating the menu, and helping others create fun memories with friends or family. This is a secret passion I have.

6. I am a mother of four beautiful children and one the way. I never thought that I would be responsible for so many little people. It is a lot of pressure sometimes that overwhelms me. I think with all the challenges that we face today I hope that I am creating fabulous citizens that will be able to face the world. I am so glad that we have the church and the great leaders that give us the guidance. Hopefully I can sustain this great privilege that we call MOTHERHOOD. It is a fear that drives me crazy that I will fail one of them and not be able to get them back.

7. Well my final random fact if I have not bored you tears is I do not know what else to say. This was much harder to do than I thought. I guess I never share things with people. It made me have to think and ponder. I am more of a quiet person. I never really let people know who I am. This so I never have to worry about if they really like me or not. This is a trait that is not really that fabulous. But I do love all my friends that I have and my family. They are a great support system who have love me for who I am. Thank you!!!!

So I am blogging about my Little Sister Leslie that I love so much. She has her own photography business that she started with just one thing, PASSION. She has an eye for a picture that I have never seen. She captures memories that you would never think to capture. If you have never seen her work check her blog, they are amazing. We all have talents that are hidden and we should all take the opportunities to find them and share. My sister is making memories for families that will be forever in their lives. What a wonderful gift she has and it does not help that the whole family is too dang cute. So Leslie this is for you!!! Your amazing. I love you!!!

Desperate Housewives

I do not want to ruin anything if you have taped the show for a later date but , I was very sad at the new story lines. I hate what they done to Susan and Mike because it is not fair that they waited for so long to get together and then the show tears them apart. What is with Gabie, that was cruel. No one deserves that extreme of a make over(If you want to call it that). Bree is still herself hiding all pain that ever exists and Lynette still has her family drama. The new story line with Edie is weird it is like her new husband is after everyone on Wisteria Lane. Watch out!!! I am going to watch for a few more episodes and maybe the writers will add more insight on the accident and why they could not make it work and hopefully they can add more story behind Gabie finally having children. Those two plots just are not right!!!!! Well I hope I did not spoil to much and I hope the season gets better. Also I did not know my husband would be so thoughtful to blog for me. I was going to post tonight but he was to excited.

Hayden at football on Saturday

Janeal has been crazy busy lately so I figured I'd post some pics of Hayden at his last game on Sat. I unfortunately didn't make it. The game was at 8 am and coach wanted them there at 7 am and I worked the night before. I got the full story tho. Hayden played a lot! Played running back and also safety on defense. They won, I think the score was 19 to 7. To cap it all off... the smallest kid on the team ran a touchdown in from the 50 yd line!!!! He was totally excited about the game. I am horribly upset that I could see it. It's so fun to watch him play at the games and at practice. He really lays it all out on the field when playing. The coaches always tell me, "He might be small but he's all heart" or "He sure can run fast for being a small kid." Sometimes I cringe when they put him as a linebacker, but he never shies away from the big hits. I almost started cracking up when he tried to tackle a kid that he came up to his chest on. Hayden got bowled over (totally flat on his back) then immediately bounced up and was one of the first guys to get a hand on him to tackle him the second time. Well here's the pics and I'm a proud pop. Sorry, no pics of the TD run. Janeal was jumping and screaming to much to focus a camera (can you blame her? I probably would have crushed the poor camera)

Also, if couldn't tell by size, he's #8.

The Proffitt's spoke at church today

Well I have now officially given the closing prayer and now I have spoken in church. I think I am good for a year. Jim and I were both asked to speak on Preparing our Families to Overcome Adversity. What a topic!!! It was a great experience to have to prepare for this talk because all us feel overwhelmed with adversity at some point in our lives. I finally gave a talk that I felt that I executed it and people understood my message. For the first time I did not feel nervous or shaky. I felt like I was talking to my friends and that they were all at attention. I believe this is because our ward is so fabulous and there is a true feeling of love and the desire to serve each other. A true ward family. So now the truth is out that Jim and I can speak and that our children can sit in sacrament meeting without us (thank you to the Marriott's for helping Mackenzie). What a great feeling to know that they are trainable. This is a great ending to week that was filled with such chaos. Not that I want to speak again soon but I felt that there was true purpose to my Sunday.

I know I am doing a lot of blogging in one day but I have not had a working computer for over a month. Jim and I are sharing his laptop he uses for work so I better blog quickly before he leaves and I run out of time. The kids have loved there new teachers and everyone has been great about going to school. We are only on week 2 so there are a lot of days that can crumble to the ground. We are only going to focus on the positive. We are going to enjoy all the great times that lie ahead. The first month of school is always crazy with joining PTA activities, back to school night, and the extra supplies the teacher realize they need. We will survive and enjoy all the great memories that the school year brings.

Hayden has become a true football player. He loves everything about it. He plays Wide Receiver, Running, back and sometimes Tight End(I believe this is a defense position). He loves them all. I do worry about injuries when he gets older and the hitting his harder but for now I believe he is pretty safe. Unfortunately we lost 13-12 in the last minute of the game. The whole team had held them off for so long that it was so sad. Yes Lauri I to embarrass my family at sporting events. I get to involved and cheer and yell so loud. Hayden has said that he knows I am in the stands and need not yell so loud. Oh well this is a mom thing and I will always cheer. Go Team!!!!

McCain-Palin Ticket

My vote is now a sure thing-only based on fabulous fashion sense. I bought the new people magazine and discovered that Sarah Palin's youngest daughter is wearing the same dress I just bought Delaynie at Fred Meyer. If a women in her position can shop at a store that serves regular families then I am in. I believe she truly is a Hockey Mom with great values and deserves to represent the working middle class. I wish I was more blogging savvy to post the picture of the Palin family with the dress but I am not. I will send a picture of Delaynie in the dress when she gets home from school. She wore the dress the first day but had a sweatshirt over the top.

The Natural Way

Okay so all of you know that I have given birth to 4 children without the need of drugs. I did not do this to be a hero. I was to afraid of the side effects of the drugs they offered and worried to much what would happen if I was not in control of my own body. So thankfully I been blessed to have given birth to 4 beautiful children with no worries. This in it self is the miracle. Also with each child I have gone faster and faster so the reality of drugs was never an issue.

So the process of finding a doctor in Bellingham,WA you would think would be easy, NO!!! There is only 6 ob/gyn's in the whole county and 4 belong to the same practice. I was able to get into the practice with the 4 doctors only because the other 2 were not taking any new patients. With the choice of 4 doctors you would think that one would be friendly, love the idea that women are giving birth, and maybe a little kind. The answer is, NO! I hated all 4 of my appointments and yes I had 4 appointments before I was 4 months along. The 1st was (as they stated) to make sure the pregnancy was viable which took 2 hours. I will never know why. 2nd appointment was just to meet a nurse and go over my family history, decide on genetic testing and to let me know that I would not be able to choose 1 doctor to see but that I would have to see all the doctors throughout my pregnancy. I was very disappointed. I have never had to see more than 1 doctor. 3rd appointment was just a ultra sound and the 4th was a visit with a nurse that decided I did not need to see the doctor because I would not do any genetic testing. After all of this chaos I decided that I would choose an alternative way-Midwife. I know all of you may think that this is crazy but if you only had the few choices that I had you would be doing the same thing.

Winnie is my mid wife and I have seen her 3 times now and she is wonderful. She is the most kindest person that you could ever meet. She always gives a hug when I arrive and leave. Welcomes my children to come to the visit and speaks to them. She also is not judgmental that I am having my fifth baby. She is very aware of all complications that can occur and is willing to transfer me to the hospital if needed which is only 5 minutes away. I am not giving birth at home but at the Bellingham Birthing Center (www.bellinghambirthcenter.com). I went there today for my visit and it is so beautiful. You have three choices of rooms and each room feels like a real bedroom. No hospital smell, machines everywhere, but just a relaxing environment. After I give birth I will go home within 5 hours and be with my family. Jim will have to really step up and help. Cross your fingers everyone!!

I just wanted to share my little birth plan and hope that I have not scared anyone. I feel so good about it and know that the hospital is right there. My pregnancy has gone very well and she sees no complications thus far. It is just exciting to know that I will not give birth with doctors who do not care about their patients but only the amount of patients they can squeeze in for a profit.

I do not know whether to be happy or sad. We have a great summer visiting family,friends and all the many adventures our mini van could take us too. The best part is that we all are happy with our teachers and the class schedule that we received so let the games begin. Reagan is going to be the most sad. All her friends(brother and sisters) are going to school and I feel that my company will not be good enough. Well, here is to tomorrow and the beginning of a great school year. Pictures and the real drama will continue tomorrow!!!
